Founder, Gully Future Foundation

Builds the software, and then works out how to sell it — twenty-one years spent on both sides of that line.

Ganesh works across three things that do not often sit in the same person: building software, advising businesses on how they run, and selling.

The technical half came first. He started as a backend engineer in 2005, spent nearly three years at Yahoo! building for Yahoo! Health and Yahoo! Finance and acting as local security engineer across the Media Group properties, and founded Idea Carve Technologies in 2010 — product management, engineering management, solution architecture and IT services, delivered end to end. GullySystem now builds custom web and mobile applications, and the cloud infrastructure underneath them, for businesses that need software shaped to how they actually work rather than the other way round.

The commercial half followed. GullyBusiness is consulting and coaching — scalable strategy, operations, and sales processes that survive contact with a small team. GullySales covers sales strategy, digital marketing and SEO. GullyHR handles HR systems and process, and GullyAcademy runs twelve-month project-based training in IT, HR, marketing and finance.

Gully Future Foundation is the part that is not a business. It supports NGOs and social organisations with finance, strategy, marketing, operations and technology — and GullyFuture grew out of it.

He holds a B.E. in Computer Science from University B.D.T. College of Engineering.

What they talk about

  • Web or mobile app — choosing, and what each one costs you later
  • Moving a business onto the cloud without breaking what works
  • Designing a sales process a small team can actually run
  • What a consultant should be able to tell you in the first meeting
  • Going from engineer to founder
