A neighbourhood helping itself forward
GullyFuture, an initiative of Gully Future Foundation in Bengaluru, connects students, job seekers, employees and entrepreneurs with practical guidance, skills and expert support to prepare for work and manage workplace challenges. It exists because the difference between the people who get somewhere and the people who do not is usually not ability. It is who they happened to know.
Why this exists
A student in a government PU college and a student in an expensive private one can be equally capable and end up in very different places. What separates them is rarely the syllabus. It is that one of them has an uncle who works in a company and can explain what an interview is, and the other does not.
That gap is not solved by more content. There is more free material online than anyone could work through. It is solved by access to people — somebody who has done the thing, in a room, answering the question you were embarrassed to ask.
So that is what we organise. Sessions where people who do the work explain it to people who have not seen it up close, and then answer questions until the questions run out. Everything else on this site exists to make that happen more often.
How it works
We organise sessions across three areas — education, careers and entrepreneurship — for students, job seekers and entrepreneurs, working with schools, colleges, companies and business associations in Bengaluru. Speakers and mentors give their time. Institutions provide the room. Participants pay nothing.
After a session we ask everybody the same question: is there something you could contribute? The hope is that people who arrive as participants come back as speakers, mentors and volunteers. That cycle is the whole design.

These are the rules we hold to, written down so you can hold us to them.
Free for the people who need it
Sessions cost participants nothing. Not a discounted rate, not a scholarship you have to apply for — nothing.
Nobody is selling anything
A session is not a pitch. We ask every speaker to agree to this before they stand up, and the rule applies to everyone.
Specific beats inspirational
Nobody needs another talk about following your passion. They need to know what the work is like on a Tuesday.
We count what we did, honestly
Every figure on this site is counted from our own records, and the Impact page says how. If we have not done it, it is not on the page.
Participants become contributors
The cycle is the point. We hope people who come to a session go on to give one, and the feedback form asks everybody whether they would like to contribute.
The questions matter more than the talk
We plan sessions so the Q&A gets real time, not whatever is left over. That is where people get an answer to their own specific worry.
Safeguarding
How we work with young people
These standing commitments apply to every programme that involves school students. They are the same ones published on our school pages.
- Programmes are arranged through the institution and run in approved group settings, supervised throughout by a school-designated adult.
- No unsupervised one-to-one mentoring of a student, and no private messaging or personal contact between a contributor and a student.
- Contributors are screened and briefed for the role they are given, and may not use a session to sell or promote anything.
- We collect only the information a programme needs, and seek institutional and parent or guardian consent where it is required.
- A student's photograph, quote or story is used only with specific permission obtained beforehand.
- Anything touching safety, abuse, severe distress or self-harm follows the institution's own escalation and professional-referral process.
