The part that makes a session actually happen

Somebody has to confirm the venue, register people at the door, take photographs, and write up what was said. It is not glamorous and nothing runs without it.

What it takes

A few hours around an event, as often as you like.

What you would do

  • Coordinate on the day — registration, setup, timing
  • Outreach to colleges, schools and local businesses
  • Photography, writing up notes, social posts
  • Help with the platform itself if that is your thing

What we ask of you

  • Turn up when you have said you will
  • Tell us early if you cannot
  • Ask questions — most volunteers end up speaking eventually

What you get out of it

A public profile with figures counted from what you have actually done — sessions run, people reached, hours given. Nothing is invented and nothing is rounded up. It is a record you can point at.

Tell us about you

Only your name, email and a few sentences are required. A person reads every one of these.

A few sentences is plenty. We are not assessing your writing.

What would you like to help with?
How often?

We use these details only to talk to you about contributing. Nothing goes on a public page without asking you first.

Other ways

Not quite the right fit?

There are six other ways to help, and one of them takes half an hour.
